Canada's recalls and safety alerts listed a 15 July 2026 recall for Supernova and Supreme nicotine films and pouches because the products had no market authorization in Canada. Health Canada has also explained that authorized tobacco-free nicotine pouches are smoking-cessation supports for adults 18 and over. In general, a buccal pouch containing 4mg or less can sit in the non-prescription or natural health product pathway, while higher-strength products may cross into prescription-drug territory. Unauthorized recall products should not be presented as ordinary flavour entries.
